Holiday on the countriside: Badacsony

Me and Anuta took a few days off in the beginning of October to rest a bit after the last 3-4 months with full of works, thesis writing. We got a 3 days long wellness treatment in Sümeg, Hungary from my family so we just completed the package with a short get-to-know-Western-Hungary trip with a few stops. The first one was Badacsony which is a small town next to lake Balaton. It is famous of the wine production so we checked this.
Badacsony - Balaton
Badacsony is located on the north-west side of the lake. It is basically a volcanic hill which is covered with grapes. The volcanic stone gives a very interesting and characteristic taste for the wine.

Since I have been here several times I already knew where to go for wine tasting. There is a  family winery called Laposa which produces excellent wine and they introduced the new wave of gastronomy as well in the Balaton region.

I didn't take many pcitures up on the hill, we mostly just enjoyed the October sunshine. Which was a bit weak and short and already was gone when we reached the marina. The area was calm and almost empty compared to summer time. Ducks were coming and going, the sparrows were sitting on the bushes.

In the light wind we found also some sailboat on the foggy Balaton.
